General Information
Work Location: 5213 4th Avenue Circle East, Bradenton, Florida 34208
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (hours will vary based on needs)
Coordinates the talent acquisition program for Manatee County Government and is involved in tracking the results of the recruitment process in the organization. Develops and implements recruiting plans and marketing strategies designed to fulfill the organization's current and future staffing needs; and engages in organization wide projects focused on recruitment marketing and social media strategies.

Job Description
Essential Functions

Serves as brand ambassador and uses multi-channel recruiting processes to fill vacancies including internet, social networking, search, college recruiting, job fairs, and external events.
Works with hiring managers to understand organizational needs and makes recommendations to leadership to build effective marketing strategies to attract top talent.
Leads the creation of recruiting plans for open positions.
Researches and recommends more efficient recruitment practices. Identifies and implements cost effective ways to simplify, standardize, and automate recruitment processes and procedures and trains necessary staff on the use of new technology.
Develops creative sourcing strategies to attract top applicants through online social networking, job boards, and local media sources. Develops an on-going and diverse pipeline of prospective applicants.
Builds networks across industries and community to build a strong network of cooperating contacts, agencies, and former employees.
Executes and oversees social media communications on all appropriate platforms. Creates pertinent social content in the form of blogs, videos, and graphics to brand Manatee County Government as an employer of choice.
Reports the progress on assigned job vacancies on a regular basis, communicates early warnings, and provides regular feedback about the performance of the recruitment process.
Partners and collaborates with Employment Services Manager and Human Resources Specialists to develop and implement innovative short and long-term organizational recruitment strategies for future employment needs.
Performs other related work (including weather or other extreme emergency duties) as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
Three (3) or more years progressively responsible experience as a recruiter or talent acquisition specialist.
Valid driver's license with valid Florida driver's license within 30 days of hire.
A comparable combination of work experience and training may be substituted for education requirements.

Experience working with internet recruiting including social networking desired.

Knowledge of principles, practices, and methods of sourcing and recruiting for lasting results.
Ability to use discretion, exercise good judgment and maintain confidentiality. Must be tactful and diplomatic.
Good knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance necessary to successfully perform job responsibilities.
Good knowledge and understanding of computer systems and software applications required to perform job duties.
Good verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills in order to interact professionally and effectively with staff, management, candidates, and other stakeholders. Able to influence others through explanation of facts, policies, and practices.
Works independently with general supervision.
