We are looking for an enthusiastic Audiology Assistant to join our team!
The Audiology Assistant will work under the supervision of licensed audiologists. Duties include performing selected tasks in patient assessment and working with hearing aids and other amplification systems. The position is responsible for planning, organizing, and providing various assignments including:
- Setting up and shutting down exam rooms
- Attend to both scheduled and walk-in patients
- Maintain all clinical records and charts as specified by practice management
- Support clinic operations by conducting quality control analysis of incoming hearing aids (new orders and repairs), and maintenance of test areas, equipment and supplies
- Troubleshooting and routine clean and checks of hearing aids
- Perform hearing aid orientation including basic care and use of the hearing aids
- Demonstrate and assist patients with assistive listening devices and bluetooth technology
- Complete paperwork for the audiologists including repair forms, purchase agreements, new orders, warranty information
- Maintain inventory of clinical supplies
- Performs front office duties and other miscellaneous duties on an as needed basis
- Follow good safety and infection control protocols
- Exercise HIPAA compliance and confidentiality relating to patient and business information
We are seeking an individual who is personable and naturally friendly, inquisitive, and an excellent communicator. Qualifications:
- A high school graduate or GED. Prefer some college experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills that allow effective working relationships with a diverse patient, colleague, and hearing aid manufacturer population.
- Strong keyboard/computer experience
- Must be able to organize time and prioritize numerous duties within strict deadlines.
- Must deal with patients in a caring and respectful manner.
- Must be able to multi-task and be detail oriented.
- Must be able to problem solve and manage the day-to-day operations of the clinic independently.
- Willingness to travel to satellite offices as needed.
