Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to dietary guidelines and patient preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, including equipment, utensils, and work surfaces.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations during food preparation and storage.
- Deliver meals to patients in a timely manner while providing excellent customer service.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and communication during meal service.
- Participate in cleaning duties post-meal service, including washing dishes and sanitizing kitchen equipment.
- Assist with inventory management by checking stock levels of food supplies and reporting shortages as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in the food industry or culinary environment is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards is essential.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must be able to lift and move items up to 25 pounds as part of daily duties.
