Responsibilities:
Operates and maintains hospital transport van and associated equipment (e.g., vans, passenger lifts, etc.), transports patients that are discharged to their destinations (home, skilled nursing facility, rehab facility, etc.). Performs inspections, documents discrepancies, and records driver logs noting passenger counts and gas usage. Communicates to passengers the location of different service lines and/or procedures to ensure safe and carefree transportation. Completes all UHS training and refreshers, adheres to safety procedures and vehicle maintenance/operation standards, and reports all corporate vehicle accidents consistent with the UHS Corporate and Facility Fleet (Auto) Safety Policy
