Handyman/Laborer

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handyman to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of repair and maintenance tasks in residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate has experience in various trades, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and general maintenance. Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general repairs and maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and other minor building repairs.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in school environment and commercial properties, providing effective solutions.
• Assemble and install furniture, appliances, and fixtures as required.
• Inspect buildings, equipment, and appliances to identify necessary repairs or maintenance.
• Complete work orders in a timely manner while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment.
• Provide excellent customer service, communicating with clients to understand their needs and expectations.
• Keep an inventory of maintenance supplies and notify management of the need for additional materials or tools.
• Collaborate with other team members or external contractors as needed to complete more complex repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including details of repairs, time spent, and materials used.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Handyman or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and maintenance tasks.
• Ability to use a wide variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to handle tools and perform manual labor.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry IT equipment (up to 75 pounds).
• Ability to walk consistently 15-20K steps daily

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
