Job Summary
For the upcoming 2025-2026 school year, MSA is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessional Educator to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will support math or reading teachers in delivering high-quality instruction and assist students in their learning journey, particularly those with academic gaps. This role is essential in fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that promotes the academic and social development of all students.
Duties
- Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and instructional activities tailored to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Provide one-on-one support to students, especially those with educational gaps, ensuring they can fully engage in classroom activities.
- Collaborate with educators to develop and adapt curriculum materials that align with individual student goals.
- Facilitate small group instruction, focusing on subjects such as math and literacy.
- Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback to teachers regarding individual student needs and achievements.
- Support the implementation of arts-infusion methods when applicable.
- Fostering independence and self-directed learning among students.
- Communicate effectively with students and staff to promote a positive learning environment.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills in lesson planning, curriculum development, and special education strategies.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children in educational settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with strategies for supporting students with diverse learning needs is highly desirable.
- Experience in lesson planning and curriculum development is a plus.
- Strong communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with teachers, parents, and students.
