Position Overview
This role will start as a part-time that will lead into a full-time position.
The Logistics Operator/Material Handler is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the efficient and timely movement of goods and materials within a company’s supply chain. This role involves managing the movement of products from suppliers to customers, ensuring timely delivery, and optimizing logistics processes. The Logistics Operator/Material Handler will work closely with other departments, including inventory management, shipping, and receiving, to ensure smooth operations.
\n- Monitor stock levels and track inventory movements
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy
- Plan and schedule deliveries, track shipments
- Identify any defects or deviations from quality standards and initiate corrective actions
- Conduct regular quality inspections and tests
- Maintain accurate records of shipments and inventory
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and proper handling of goods
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve issues
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment
- Other duties within the scope of the position may be assigned from time to time
- Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school is preferred
- Knowledge of Database Management software and Microsoft Office
- Forklift License is required
- Open to international travel
- Familiarity with quality control processes, tools, and techniques
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot potential issues
- Frequently lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs.
