Manufacturing Supervisor

Mancan is working with a company in Holmesville seeking a CNC supervisor. This is a temp to hire position for the right candidate based upon attitude, attendance, and performance. Pay is based upon experience, starting at $19/hour or more with a $1.50/hour attendance bonus. Hours are 7 am - 3 pm with some overtime as needed.

The CNC Supervisor will be responsible for organizing and overseeing the daily operations of our CNC machining department. This role involves scheduling and directing machine setups, supervising CNC operators, tracking productivity, and ensuring the efficient production of parts. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of CNC operations, and the ability to train and guide team members effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
Order Organization & Machine Setup:

• Plan and organize orders to be run on each CNC machine, ensuring optimal utilization of machines for each specific order.
• Direct and oversee the setup of each CNC machine to ensure correct configuration for production runs.

Supervision and Training:

• Supervise CNC operators, providing guidance, coaching, and training to ensure high performance and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Productivity and Quality Tracking:

• Track productivity of CNC machines and operators, entering data into SharePoint.
• Record and remove scrap from the department daily, ensuring proper documentation and disposal.
• Tag parts that are out of tolerance and promptly notify quality control, production, and engineering departments of any issues.

Meetings and Communication:

• Attend daily production meetings to discuss schedules, issues, and improvement plans.

Maintenance and Issue Resolution:

• Assist in investigations of machine malfunctions.
• Schedule and request necessary maintenance through SharePoint.

Requirements:

• Proven supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machines and machining processes.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Strong computer skills.
• Ability to train and guide employees effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects as needed.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
