Salon Receptionist/Bartender

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Salon Receptionist and Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our clients, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk and bar operations. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. A passion for the beauty industry and a welcoming demeanor are essential for creating a positive experience for our clients.

Duties

• Greet clients warmly as they enter the salon and ensure they feel welcomed.
• Manage appointment scheduling and confirmations using a POS system.
• Handle client inquiries and provide information about services offered.
• Process payments accurately and efficiently using a cash register.
• Maintain an organized reception area, including stocking supplies as needed.
• Assist in upselling salon services and products to enhance client experience.
• Supervise front desk operations during peak hours to ensure smooth workflow.
• Communicate effectively with stylists and other team members regarding client needs.
• Ensure compliance with salon policies and procedures while maintaining a professional atmosphere.
• Maintain a clean bar area.
• Ensure all clients receive a drink that is included in their services.
• Cleaning duties as needed.

Experience

• Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred; experience in a salon or beauty environment is a plus.
• Previous experience working in a bar a plus.
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures.
• Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to better serve our diverse clientele.
• Experience in sales or upselling techniques is advantageous, particularly in retail or grocery store settings.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients and team members.
