POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking an adaptable Family Office Staff Accountant or Senior Staff Accountant (depending on experience) to join our Family Office CFO Services Team. In this role, you will assist in generating accurate financial records for multiple ultra-high-net-worth clients, as well as being an integral part of providing those families with business and personal support as needed. This is an in-office position in Montecito, California.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Recordkeeping & Presentation:
- Process and record daily financial transactions such as income, expenses, and payments.
- Reconcile bank, credit card, and investment account statements.
- Assess the accuracy of assets and liabilities and adjust balance sheet accounts as necessary.
- Source and validate outside supporting data to verify account balances.
- Issue financial statements and customized reporting to clients on a regular and timely basis.
- Understand and provide insight on financial data and spending.
Data Management:
- Process financial data with focus on quality entry and substantive backup.
- Analyze procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency of reporting.
- Seek to continually improve processes and procedures.
- Maintain organized digital filing systems for financial, business, and personal documents.
- Ensure data integrity and confidentiality of sensitive information.
Client Support & Team Collaboration:
- Address client inquiries and requests promptly and professionally.
- Deliver consistent, exceptional service to client families.
- Collaborate with other departments and offices to best serve clients’ needs.
- Work closely with our growing CFO Services Team.
- Support and assist immediate team members with accounting tasks and other projects.
- Maintain an attitude of positivity and resourcefulness while problem-solving when new or unusual challenges arise.
- Travel locally to provide services to clients as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree. Accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
- Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software.
- Meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
- Minimum 2 years accounting, audit, full-cycle bookkeeping, and/or financial reporting experience.
- Minimum 4 years accounting and/or audit experience to be considered for Senior Staff Accountant.

Salary Range: $72,000 – $110,000 DOE. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, position hired for, and applicable employment laws.
