Job Title: Custodian
To unlock and prepare the building for school, perform cleaning tasks, and assist teachers with various duties.
Duties:
- Unlock and lock the building
- Clean interior spaces, including bathrooms, classrooms, hallways, dining areas, and other areas
- Clean exterior and campus grounds
- Assist teachers by moving furniture and equipment
- Perform minor repair work, such as fixing ceiling tiles and unclogging drains
- Maintain bathroom supplies and requisition cleaning materials
Responsibilities:
- Prepare the building during summer for occupancy in the fall
- Empty trash containers daily
- Assist in the cafeteria during meal times
- Prepare areas for special events
- Comply with physical demands regarding lifting
Requirements:
- Minimum of one year of experience in custodial activities preferred
- Ability to perform duties under general supervision
- Work cooperatively with the principal and teachers
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and understand instructions
