The Taconic and Green Regional School District is seeking a Behaviorist (School-Wide) to join our team at Manchester Elementary Middle School for the 2025/2026 school year! As a licensed educator working with students in Grades K-8, the Behaviorist (School-Wide) provides leadership and support in promoting positive behavior and student engagement across general education settings. This position focuses on developing and sustaining proactive, data-informed behavioral practices using a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) framework. The Behaviorist (School-Wide) works closely with school teams, administration, students and families to build capacity around preventative behavior practices and tiered interventions for students with behavioral challenges not tied to a disability.
The Behaviorist (School-Wide) will possess a comprehensive understanding of MTSS, PBIS, behavior modification and trauma-informed practices. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional skill in data analysis, staff collaboration, and implementation of proactive strategies that enhance school climate. Applicants are expected to know current instructional research and evidence-based instructional practices. Strong candidates will demonstrate a student-centered approach, exemplary oral and written communication skills, strong relationship building skills with students, and a commitment to working collaboratively with all colleagues.
