Accountant II
Manchester Housing and Redevelopment Authority is hiring an Accountant II. This individual will perform accounting functions such as entering journal entries, preparing budgets, reconciliations, financial reporting, payroll, accounts payable and landlord payments under the direct supervision of the Finance Director. Our ideal candidate will have a four-year college degree in Finance/Accounting. Must have excellent mathematical, accounting, payroll and budgeting skills. Needs to have professional communication skills, both written and verbal, with internal and external parties. Strong analytical skills, problem-solving and attention to detail. Must have the ability to work independently and be self-directed. Demonstrated knowledge of accounting skills and procedures. Ability to properly handle sensitive, confidential information. Desired, but not required skills include: 3 years' experience in subsidized housing or a related field with HUD accounting knowledge and/or landlord payments.
This is a full-time, 35-hour work week, position.
