Resident Activities Assistant
Manchester Housing and Redevelopment Authority is hiring a Resident Activities Assistant. This position will plan and implement educational, social, emotional, cognitive and physically appropriate and beneficial programs for elderly and persons with disabilities and serve as a resource and advocate for residents of public and assisted housing for the elderly and persons with disabilities. Applicants should have the ability to interact with the elderly and/or persons with disabilities in a compassionate, diplomatic, positive and helpful manner as well as maintain sensitivity to the needs of persons of diverse social, cultural and economic backgrounds. Must be proficient with computer skills and have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ideal candidates will be self-directed and have strong problem-solving skills and organizational skills. Must be able to work independently and maintain professional boundaries. Bilingual preferred but not required.
This is a full-time, 35-hour work week, non-exempt position.
Must have flexibility to work occasional evening or weekend for special events.
A Valid Driver's License and Personal Auto Insurance required.
