The Company
Mancuso is the leading perishable food broker in Western New York looking to add an experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician to our team.
Position Description:
The Facilities Maintenance Technician effectively manages all building maintenance, including seasonal upkeep and repairs for a real estate portfolio consisting of residential, and commercial (retail) properties. The position is available for part-time hours between 7:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday for approximately 10-20 hours per week.
Tasks Include:
- Lawn cutting and landscaping
- Snow removal
- Painting
- Equipment routine maintenance and repair
- General upkeep of office premises
- Cleaning (pressure washing, window cleaning, emptying garbage cans, etc.)
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Necessary Skills
- Attention to detail
- Problem solving; ability to respond quickly to service issues
- Proactive posture
- Work effectively independently
- Effective time management, and flexibility to respond to time sensitive tasks
- Preferred technical skills: basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and mechanical assembly and repair
- Ability to research vendors and contractors to solicit quotes and bids for certain work, as necessary
- Effective and professional communication with tenants and their employees. Including gathering information about service issues, and communicating updates, as necessary
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license, and clean driving record (drives company vehicle as requested)
- Able to operate small maintenance machinery, power tools, and hand tools
- Age 18 and over
- Must be available outside normal office hours for emergencies (infrequent)
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
The functions and tasks of this job include lifting upwards of 25lbs, frequent standing, walking, sitting, and the use of ladders. These functions are essential to this job. NYS approved pre-employment screening to be completed prior to starting work.
