What are the responsibilities and job description for the PARK MAINTENANCE position at Mandan Park District?
Mandan Park Operations is responsible for the maintenance of:
- Parks/Green Spaces
- Baseball/Softball Fields
- Dacotah Centennial Park- Soccer Complex, Race Track, Rodeo Grounds
Work Hours:
- Mon- Fri, 8-hour day starting at 7am
- Weekends on a rotating basis
- May be required to work holidays
- Schedule may change based on tournaments and important events
- Flexible scheduling is available: Full day, half day and weekend only may be possible
Work Duration: Dependent on weather. Seasonal employees potentially could work mid- April until mid- October. Scheduling duration is flexible for students.
Duties: Under the supervision of the Park Operations Manager, Facility Supervisor or designated supervisor, complete assigned tasks related to the care and maintenance of the Mandan Park District facilities.
Duties include but not limited to, field maintenance, mowing, trimming, irrigation repair, tree trimming, general facility upkeep, trash removal, and restroom maintenance.
Salary: Depends on experience.
Benefits: Seasonal employees that work 40 hours consistently shall receive free use of Park District facilities during time of employment.
Dress Code: Mandan Park District shirts will be provided. Safety gear such as ear plugs, safety glasses, gloves etc. will be provided. All other clothing is the employees responsibility. Required clothing is as follows: long pants, closed toe shoes and sleeved shirts.
