Mandel is searching for a full-time apartment Maintenance Technician II to complete our team at Park Lafayette Towers, a community located in Downtown Milwaukee, WI. In this role with Mandel, you will be responsible for maintaining the efficiencies and upkeep of the property buildings and grounds, diagnosing work order requests, and making repairs in areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, dry walling, exterior structural, and appliance.
Duties of a Maintenance Tech include:
- Perform general facilities services such as: plumbing, electrical, heating and air conditioning repairs, carpentry, appliance repairs, glass replacement, etc.
- Respond timely to resident maintenance work order requests and notify management upon completion of requests or of pending work order needs.
- Be available to work on-call hours in a rotation, which will include some weekends and night work.
- Keep amenity areas in clean and operable condition. Maintain and monitor all safety related equipment and required records.
- Participate in preventative maintenance to include pool, exterior lighting, filter changes and apartment inspections.
- Perform routine maintenance on vacant units in the most timely and efficient manner prior to new resident occupancy per Mandel standards.
- Grounds keeping duties to include trash removal and cleaning.
Requirements for the Maintenance Tech II:
- Available for participate in the on-call rotation
- 1 week once every 5-12 weeks (frequency dependent on region and staffing levels)
- Daily paid on-call stipend
- Automatic 1.50x and 2x pay on Holidays
- Paid on-call mileage
- Available to work 40-hours per week
- Experience in fixing HVAC and appliances
- Prior maintenance/facilities experience
Recommended but not required skills /certifications:
- EPA Universal, type 1 or 2, certifications
- CPO certification
- 1-3 years maintenance/facilities/HVAC experience
