Position Summary

The Mandel JCC of the Palm Beaches is looking for a high-energy individual to be the Community Engagement Coordinator. This position serves as the face of the Mandel JCC in the community and will develop new and innovative ways to engage all audiences. At the Mandel JCC, we believe strongly that while we encourage the community to come to the JCC, deep connections are also built when you meet people where they are. The coordinator will play an integral role in building these relationships within our community by creating engaging opportunities inside and outside the JCC.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the execution of community engagement events, ensuring all aspects (logistics, timing, vendor management, participant engagement) run smoothly.
• Develop and implement strategies to recruit, retain, and engage the community through innovative programming, including the JParent Program and holiday events.
• Exercise independent judgment to handle event logistics, resolve issues, and ensure the success of community programs, without direct supervision.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams and external vendors to manage event execution from start to finish, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Represent the Mandel JCC at various community events, acting as the face of the JCC, while fostering relationships with stakeholders and promoting the mission.
• Manage budgets for community engagement activities, ensuring cost-effectiveness and making independent decisions about resource allocation.
• Communicate with local schools, vendors, and community leaders, maintaining and nurturing partnerships that align with the JCC’s goals.
• Handle administrative duties related to events, such as tracking expenses, sending communications, and processing payment requests.

• You possess a strong ability to manage logistics and think strategically, ensuring events align with the JCC's broader goals and mission.
• You are flexible, willing to work evenings and weekends to ensure successful event outcomes.
• You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, allowing you to effectively represent the JCC and its mission to external audiences.
