Substitute Teacher

Mandel Jewish Day School is seeking dedicated and adaptable Substitute Teachers to join our team. As a substitute, you will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth and supportive learning experience for our students when teachers are absent. We are looking for individuals who are warm, reliable, and comfortable working in a dynamic educational setting.

Responsibilities

• Follow lesson plans provided by teachers to maintain continuity in learning.
• Create a positive and respectful classroom environment that fosters student engagement.
• Provide support across various subjects and grade levels, from early childhood to middle school.
• Supervise and assist students with activities, transitions, and classroom routines.
• Adapt to different classroom settings and teaching styles, including hands-on and student-centered learning.
• Support students with diverse learning needs, including those with individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure a smooth school day.

Requirements

• Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a nurturing learning environment.
• A flexible and patient approach to teaching and supporting students.
• Ability to follow lesson plans and school procedures effectively.
