We’re seeking a client-focused, full-time Legal Assistant to support our Elder Law, Special Needs, and Probate Litigation Group. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong communication skills, capable of managing attorney calendars, handling multiple phone lines, and assisting with potential new client intakes. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct client intakes for potential new clients.
- Monitor and track legal files, ensuring timely follow-ups and accurate billing.
- Collaborate with attorneys to manage workflow, assignments, and client needs.
- Maintain attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and prepare agendas for team meetings.
- Assist with marketing and social media initiatives.
- Support accounts receivable, invoice processing, and collections.
- Open and organize new client files, adhering to proper procedures.
- Update and maintain client communication lists in HubSpot and Salesforce.
- Contribute to department projects, ensuring assignments are tracked and deadlines are met.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a legal support role, with a preference for Elder Law/Estate Planning experience.
- BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience.
- Proficient in legal software applications and Microsoft Office.
- Strong client service, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proactive and able to anticipate needs effectively.
- Capable of working efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively at all staff levels.
