Job Description:
The Texas Education Agency (TEA) is seeking an experienced Microsoft Power Platform Developer / Programmer Analyst 3 to design, develop, customize, and support enterprise-level solutions leveraging the Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform suite. The ideal candidate will bring in-depth technical expertise in Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse, with a strong foundation in .NET development and system integration.
This is a remote, contract position requiring up to 696 hours of service between May 16, 2025, and August 31, 2025. The candidate must reside and work within the United States.
Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement solutions using Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform stack

Customize Power Apps (Model-Driven), Power Automate workflows, Power BI dashboards, and Power Pages

Integrate solutions using REST APIs, custom plug-ins, and PowerApps Component Framework (PCF)
-
Develop, test, and deploy .NET applications and custom components

Manage and secure Dataverse environments and data models
-
Collaborate with DevOps and administrative teams for code branching, merging, and deployment

Optimize performance, scalability, and security of developed solutions

Ensure compliance with established SDLC processes and best practices
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Minimum of 8 years of experience in:
-
Microsoft Power Platform development (Power Apps, Automate, BI, Dataverse)

Customizing D365/Power Platform with JavaScript, plug-ins, and PCF controls

Developing in .NET/C# and working with SQL Server or other RDBMS

Enterprise-level SDLC processes and software development best practices

Experience with:

RESTful services, JSON, JavaScript frameworks

PowerFX, DAX, PowerQuery

Building and deploying custom code components

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Power BI report development

Familiarity with Dynamics 365 for Customer Service

Microsoft certifications such as:

Power Automate RPA Developer Associate

Additional Information:

This position is 100% remote, U.S.-based

Standard work hours are Monday Friday, 8 AM 5 PM CST
