We have an immediate opening to hire an experience Operations Manager for our Lebanon, Ohio production facility. The Operations Manager is generally responsible for overseeing the daily production process, including interviewing, and hiring, ensuring product quality and production efficiency, establishing operational headcount, and training and developing staff. Interacts with all internal Departments, Rabbi’s for Kosher approval, and internal and external Auditors. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and direct Production Department and supervisory personnel.
- Determine and ensure adequate staffing to meet production needs.
- Establish and lead department project charters and initiatives to meet goals and objectives.
- Develop and implement leadership development and coaching plans for subordinates and supervisors.
- Develop detailed plans for people and projects using the S.M.A.R.T goal process (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-Bound).
- Seek opportunities to implement preventative measures and corrective actions for scenarios involving Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Morale, and Environment.
- Conduct daily production meetings.
- Measure production performance with regard to quality, efficiency, and manpower.
- Maintain and improve department efficiencies and performance.
- Actively participate in periodic training sessions to increase understanding of, and abilities related to, safety, quality, productivity, materials, and equipment operation.
- Utilize creativity to navigate obstacles with respect to Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Morale, and Environment.
- Assure all GMP rules are properly followed, including personal hygiene, trash removal, etc.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards of equipment and processes.
- Manage and ensure product quality in adherence to customer specifications.
- Assure manufacturing practices are consistent with the Company’s global standards.
- Interact and handle supply and customer production issues.
- Provide guidance and corrective action to employees as required, utilizing goals and objectives, performance appraisals, and disciplinary processes as primary mechanisms.
- Align the team that interviews, hires and trains new and existing employees
- Other duties as assigned by management.

- Management will support and facilitate education, training, and action within their teams to effectively and adequately implement environmental policies, procedures and practices, as well as promote continual improvement consistent with environmental objectives.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required with Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Business Administration, Engineering, or Food Science preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years of Production Management experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and SQF preferred.
- Understanding of project management protocols.
- Comfortable functioning in a global business with weekly communications to other international locations.
- Flavor industry desired.
- Strong computer skills.
