Position Summary
We seek a highly motivated junior designer, field technician, or draftsperson with experience in the Oil and gas and refinery industry for our Bay Area office located in Long Beach, CA office. The ideal candidate will have a background in developing construction design packages for various O&G and refinery projects.
This entry-level position will allow the candidate to be mentored and trained by experienced Sr. designers.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: High School Diploma.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience as a designer, field technician, or draftsperson. Efficient in AutoCAD.
- Communication and Collaboration: Good verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
- Adaptability and Initiative: Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, effectively managing multiple tasks and priorities. Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities and Duties
The following are considered prominent roles and responsibilities of the I&C Designer:
- Work with the project team in designing, developing, and implementing instrumentation and control systems for O&G and refinery projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, instrumentation, and control engineering best practices.
- Attends field verification and user requirements gathering walk-downs.
Physical Requirements
- Travel by car to local refineries and plants
- Standing/walking around operation units while wearing PPE

Salary : $65,000 - $90,000
