Ice Cream Scooper

SUMMARY:

This person is responsible for the general day-to-day operation of the ice cream counter. This person is responsible for being a team player. This person is responsible for providing great customer service to our Sal & Mookies customers.

REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION:

• Required: Minimum high school student – no degree required                                              

PHYSICAL:    

•  Physical tasks, specifically in the wrists
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

MENTAL:

• Read, write, and speak English fluently
• Must be able to work under time and budgetary pressures
• Must have basic math skills
• Has high energy, a warm pleasant attitude, outgoing and is a team player

WORKING CONDITIONS:

The Ice Cream Scooper works in a restaurant atmosphere, which is a temperature-controlled environment with moderate to heavy noise. The restaurant is a fast-paced working environment. The Ice Cream Scooper’s hours are dependent on the weekly schedule established by the Service Manager of a six-day-a-week, busy restaurant. Hours worked, however, must reflect the actual time required for successful completion of a project/task. This position is a variable position and there is no guarantee for a specific number of hours.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

The Ice Cream Scooper receives sufficient authority from, and is accountable to the Service Manager for the successful completion of assigned duties and responsibilities. 

The Ice Cream Scooper will have working relationships with all the department mangers within the Sal & Mookies family.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.    The Ice Cream Scooper is in the customer service business by greeting and serving the ice cream customers.

2.    The Ice Cream Scooper promotes and safeguards satisfactory and profitable long-term relationships with the customers of Sal & Mookies by ensuring each customer is satisfied when doing business with Sal & Mookies.

3.   Responsible for overseeing the cleanliness of the ice cream counter and area behind the counter.

4.   Responsible for maintaining all items in, on and around the ice cream counter and ice cream bins by ensuring that all products are fully stocked including replenishing paper supplies and syrup toppings.

5.   Preparation of all menu items and including cone batter, waffle cones and syrup toppings.

6.   Takes orders and enters order in POS system, accurately inputting the purchase of items

7.   Responsible for cash drawer and all monetary transactions

8.   Works with manager in handling, recording and storing all cash correctly

9.   Other duties as assigned by the Service Manager.
