What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts Counter Person position at Mangino Chevrolet?
Mangino Chevrolet is looking to add a Parts Counter Person to our expanding team. The Parts Counter employee relies on their abilities to carry out their duties efficiently and deals with a range of our mechanical and automotive inventory. Along with interacting with clients, the counter-person will also provide product recommendations and close deals. It is essential to have both transferable and technical abilities to succeed in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish
- Provide Technicians with the parts they need to finish their job duties
- Communicate with customers about the status of their order
- Consistent with follow-up with the internal and external customers
- Answer phone calls, provide price quotes and other information
- Be able to read and understand the electronic parts catalog
- Provide high-level service to both internal and external customers
- Locate out-of-stock parts from outside sources ans submit emergency orders as necessary
- Assist in the collection of payments from customers
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year experience with GM Auto Parts Sales
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
- Have strong organizational and time management skills
- CDK experience preferred
Schedule:
- Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 6:00 pm
- Rotating Saturday
Pay:
- $50,000 - $70,000/year dependent on experience
