Who we are looking for :

Mango Salon is seeking a experienced Accountant to join their fun, growing, successful organization to be the day-to-day lead for accounting and finance needs. This is a full-time benefit eligible position of 30 hours per week. As an accounting professional, this position will add their strengths to our team, supporting the operations of all our locations.

Primary Responsibilities :

Maintain accurate QuickBooks files for retail locations and corporate office

Timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting closing activities

Preparation and analysis of financials for internal and external financial reporting

Maintain fixed asset ledgers and manage property tax and business license filings

Prepare and pay monthly retail sales tax and Virginia PTE tax

Assist team members with payroll administration, employee benefits plan accounting / administration, and purchasing needs

Accounts payable management

Financial management and reconciliation of inventories

Preparation of annual budgets and monthly analysis of results

Special projects, as required

Experience / Requirements / Abilities :

Accounting degree (or equivalent experience) with five or more years of increasing responsibilities

Experience with forecasting, financial reporting, data collection, and data analysis

Strong organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills

Strong Excel and QuickBooks skills

Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles

Must have excellent customer service skills and the patience to multi-task on various projects; conduct research, review data and reach logical conclusions

Must have the ability to interact effectively in a team environment and be able to communicate effectively with a diverse audience through personal communication both verbally and in writing

The ability to manage priorities and workflow

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
