Job Summary:
This position will assist with design of stormwater management facilities for various projects. Assist in the preparation of flood studies, development of hydrologic and hydraulic flood models, design of detention facilities, and storm sewer infrastructure. Ensure project compliance with federal, state, and local ordinances. This position will also assist with the preparation of Stormwater Reports and Permit Application.
Accountability and Duties:
Designs site plans utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Designs and specifies Stormwater Management Quality Control Measures
Interprets various federal, state, and local ordinances.
Uses storm water hydrology and hydraulic modeling software.
Generates watershed assessments and planning.
Provides urban flood risk and floodplain management.
Coordinates with land development teams as needed.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Outstanding Interpersonal skills, ability to interact with a variety of people.
Adaptable and able to respond quickly and accurately under pressure.
Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Must be fluent in the English language.
Available to work nights and weekends to complete projects as necessary.
Proficient in MS office. AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is a plus. Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling experience a plus, but will train the right candidate
Must have a valid drivers license.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college or university. 0-2 years related experience.
