Job Summary
- Knows and applies fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures on the construction field. Possesses knowledge of related fields and areas of operation which affect, or are affected by own area.
- Manages project Profit/Loss
- Monitors and addresses unbilled time
- Addresses or assists in resolving back charges
- Monitors and addresses past due A/R
- Ensures proposal protocol is followed
- Ensures timesheets are submitted on time
- Mentors and trains staff & key associates
- Conducts employee reviews
- Interviews & recommends prospective staff
- Mentors and coaches subordinates
- Markets for new clients, existing clients and strategic alliances & Develops Relationships
- Maintains a good relationship with clients, sub consultants, municipalities and contractors
- Assists with all CM activities Develops and improves the contract admin process
- Enforces department safety procedures
- Participates in client status meetings
- Reviews project drawings, bonds, & change orders & other post construction submittals for approval
- Reviews contractor payment requests
- Conducts on site observations and resolves construction admin problems
- Assist with land development firms with permitting and bidding
- Monitors NPDES compliance
- Coordinates approval and dedication process Works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects
- Responsible for project schedules and timely completion of projects for self, team members, and subordinates
- Prepares and monitors project budgets
- Keeps supervisor informed of work load and any changes in project scope or additional services
- Provides an accurate accounting of time spent on projects with descriptions for each time entry on a weekly basis
- Participates in marketing, sales and business development efforts where or when requested by supervisor
- Design Review
- Valid driver’s license.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering or 10 years of related experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university
- Available to work nights and weekends to complete a project as necessary
- Ability to meet requirements of (titles)
- Ability to design/engineer moderately difficult engineering projects
- Demonstrated project management skills and multitasking are essential
- Ability to make independent decisions within a general framework
- Ability to supervise the work of other Construction Managers, Assistant Construction Managers and Contractors
- Knowledge of industry related software
- Must be fluent in the English language
