Job Title: Assistant Cheerleading Coach.
Job Brief:
- The Assistant Cheerleading Coach supports the Head Coach in training and mentoring cheerleaders, ensuring skill development, team coordination, and a positive team environment. Responsibilities include assisting with practice planning, teaching routines, promoting safety, and fostering team spirit. The role also involves supervising athletes at games, competitions, and events while encouraging discipline, sportsmanship, and school pride. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
Location: Manhattan High School.
Salary:
- This position is paid through a stipend.
Hours Per Day:
- Positions available during the regular school year.
- Hours will vary during employment.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Previous coaching experience.
- All USD 383 employees must pass a background check.
Reports To: Head Coach/Athletic Director.
Job Duties:
- They should be thoroughly familiar with the responsibility factors of athletic director, and central administration and recognize their responsibility to each. Should be supportive of the assistant coaches, school, and program.
- Attends all varsity practice sessions, games, performances and assists with transportation.
- Assumes responsibility for team organization, practices, games, etc., at assigned team level.
- Shall be aware of and adhere to rules and regulations of KSHSAA.
- Responsible for care and use of physical facilities and supervision of his/her players or participants during use of such facilities. This includes both home and away contests.
- Assumes his/her full share of responsibility and accountability for student supervision, development of schedules, equipment requests, cleaning. storing, securing, and repairing equipment.
- Abides by the general policy rules and regulations of USD 383.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the head coach or building administration.
