Job Title: Special Education MIS Data Clerk

Job Brief:

  • To assist with data entry, correspondence, organization, preparing reports, and other tasks related to the operation of the special education department.

Location: Lincoln Education Center.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Clerical experience and filing preferred.
  • All USD 383 employees must pass a background check.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of student and staff information.
  • Ability to manage job responsibilities while meeting established deadlines.
  • Ability to work constructively and cooperatively with others.

Salary:

  • $13.50/hr.
  • Commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Hours Per Day:

  • 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Days Per Year:

  • 12-Month Position.

Job Duties:

Maintain MIS (Management Information System) as directed by KSDE using a data-based system.

  • Enter and update data for incoming, existing, or newly identified students.
  • Prepare State and Federal MIS reports.
  • Provide staff with information on student demographics, caseload lists for service providers, enrollment, modified testing information, etc.
  • Assist director and staff members to ensure the students' records comply with state regulations and resolve KSDE reporting.
  • Maintain records of active and inactive student clinical files and caseload logs.
  • Manage incoming and departing student records including requests from other school districts, agencies, and parents/guardians.
  • Complete KSDE Impact Aide reporting, student counts, Medicaid, and State Audits.
  • Maintain records of caseloads and rosters to distribute to district staff as directed by administration.
  • Conduct regular training on the district’s web-based IEP management system.
  • Performs such other duties as may be assigned.

Reports To: Director of Special Education.

  • Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with the provisions of the Board's policy on the evaluation of classified personnel.

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt.
