Job Title: Special Education MIS Data Clerk
Job Brief:
- To assist with data entry, correspondence, organization, preparing reports, and other tasks related to the operation of the special education department.
Location: Lincoln Education Center.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Clerical experience and filing preferred.
- All USD 383 employees must pass a background check.
Critical Skills:
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of student and staff information.
- Ability to manage job responsibilities while meeting established deadlines.
- Ability to work constructively and cooperatively with others.
Salary:
- $13.50/hr.
- Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Hours Per Day:
- 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Days Per Year:
- 12-Month Position.

Job Duties:
Maintain MIS (Management Information System) as directed by KSDE using a data-based system.
- Enter and update data for incoming, existing, or newly identified students.
- Prepare State and Federal MIS reports.
- Provide staff with information on student demographics, caseload lists for service providers, enrollment, modified testing information, etc.
- Assist director and staff members to ensure the students' records comply with state regulations and resolve KSDE reporting.
- Maintain records of active and inactive student clinical files and caseload logs.
- Manage incoming and departing student records including requests from other school districts, agencies, and parents/guardians.
- Complete KSDE Impact Aide reporting, student counts, Medicaid, and State Audits.
- Maintain records of caseloads and rosters to distribute to district staff as directed by administration.
- Conduct regular training on the district’s web-based IEP management system.
- Performs such other duties as may be assigned.
Reports To: Director of Special Education.
- Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with the provisions of the Board's policy on the evaluation of classified personnel.
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt.
