What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Analyst position at Manhattan Pipeline, LLC?
The Financial Analyst is responsible for assisting and supporting the company financial planning and reporting, budgeting, SG&A cost analysis, project budgeting and maintenance, project cost analysis, and project billing. The position works under direct supervision of the President and is complementary to the project management team. This position must demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills, as well as strong communication and client service skills.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, manage, and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual income statement and financial forecasting reports
- Monitor and analyze SG&A spend vs budget and forecast
- Set up projects in Vista and assist Project Managers with development of project budgets
- Analyze project performance and cost variances on a weekly basis and identify trends
- Assist Project Managers with project budget maintenance and change management
- Assist Project Managers with project billings as required
- Monitor project costing and assist Project Managers with job cost corrections as necessary
- Assist with internal and external audit requests
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Monitor and reconcile balance sheet accounts as necessary
- Assist with and manage the implementation of process improvements as necessary
JOB SKILLS & ABILITIES GUIDELINES:
- Strong computer skills are required. In addition to proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, the ability to learn new programs/systems quickly is essential.
- Comfortable working in a paperless environment
- Experience working in Vista or similar accounting system/ERP
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Ability to analyze, identify and resolve issues with accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger
- Functions actively and effectively as part of a team
- Demonstrated understanding of different delivery methods and experience with variation of project size, type
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4 year Bachelor’s Degree or relevant Accounting experience
- Minimum of 5 years industry experience

- Ability to work in an office environment.
- Ability to physically stand, bend, sit for long periods, and squat throughout the day.
- Ability to repeat the same movements.
- Ability to speak and listen to actively participate in meetings and phone calls.
- Use hands to type, handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or control.
- Occasionally lift, pull, or move up to 25 lbs.
- Occasional travel will be required, primarily in the metropolitan area but sometimes domestically (must have a valid Driver’s License).
