What are the responsibilities and job description for the Training Specialist position at Manhattan Public Library?
Manhattan Public Library is accepting applications for a Training Specialist who will be responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating Information Technology (IT) training programs for new hires, employees transitioning into new roles or assignments, and organization-wide initiatives involving new software, systems, or technology. The Training Specialist will provide support for IT-related projects, ensuring alignment with training objectives and departmental needs.
Desired qualifications include an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in information technology, education technology, or related field, two years experience in information technology support or a related field, experience training adults, and library experience. The job is on-site, and the schedule will be 24 hours a week; primarily M-F between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. The schedule will vary depending on department needs and will include occasional evening and weekend hours. The wage is $20.25 per hour. Benefits include annual leave, medical leave, personal leave, paid holidays, and KPERS retirement.
