OVERVIEW :
Manhattan University, an NCAA Division I institution and member of the Metro-Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), is seeking a qualified candidate for a full-time position of Assistant Athletic Trainer to work with our 21 Division I sport programs. This position assists the Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Medicine / Head Athletic Trainer and staff with the safety and welfare of the student-athletes.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Assist the Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Medicine / Head Athletic Trainer with the day to day operations of the athletic training room.
- Provide treatment and care to injured athletes.
- Serve as liaison between team physicians, athletic administrators and coaches.
- Maintain comprehensive medical documentation.
- Assist with the administering of institutional drug testing programs, game / event and practice coverage and team travel.
- Collaborate with assistant athletic trainers and supervise work study students.
- Assist with the processing of secondary insurance claims.
- Assist with pre-participation health screens.
