This position assists the Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Medicine/Head Athletic Trainer and staff with the safety and welfare of the student-athletes.

Responsibilities
- Assist the Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Medicine/Head Athletic Trainer with the day to day operations of the athletic training room.
- Provide treatment and care to injured athletes.
- Serve as liaison between team physicians, athletic administrators and coaches.
- Maintain comprehensive medical documentation.
- Assist with the administering of institutional drug testing programs, game/event and practice coverage and team travel.
- Collaborate with assistant athletic trainers and supervise work study students.
- Assist with the processing of secondary insurance claims.
- Assist with pre-participation health screens.
- NATABOC certified, NY State licensed or eligible. CPR / AED certified.
- Strong computer, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel, work evenings, weekends and some holidays as needed.
- Master’s degree in Athletic Training or related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in the college or professional sports setting.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and some holidays as needed.
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift equipment on occasion and work in various environmental conditions.
- Ability to foster positive relationships and create partnerships with a wide range of constituent groups.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, strong attention to detail and keep specific timelines.
- Working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to problem solve.
Salary : $65,000
