Position Title: Manager of Online Learning, Teaching and Assessment
Position Summary: This is an administrative, online teaching, learning and assessment specialist position. The primary administrative role is to oversee the operations of online programs, including Q/A, faculty support for teaching and learning as well as ensuring the operations of opening and updating courses for the University. Additional responsibilities will include program-level assessment of faculty for the MS/BS OL degrees and other online programs offered through the Online Learning department as well as the Professional Programs area. Responsibilities
- Conduct faculty evaluation processes through course observation, review of class evaluation data and LMS review for the MS/BS OL program
- Work with distinct programs to review and assess program faculty
- Lead internal program self-studies, support programs with data, analysis and reports as needed, generate enrollment, retention, projections, grades and monitor course administration
- Work with staff to generate quality data and report for successful operations, policies, and procedures
- Manage MS/BS OL’s administrative and learning assessment planning and reporting process
- Act as the main liaison for school and programs with institutional assessment
- Lead university initiatives to measure and evaluate school and program administrative and learning goals
- Gather data for programs for submission of reports to University leadership
- Guide faculty in effective teaching and learning practices
- Lead and manage faculty development opportunities each semester in conjunction with the Executive Director
- Meet with and respond to all student issues and complaints regarding teacher and learning challenges in SCPS courses
- Create a faculty teaching and learning community with the intent of overall increase in quality and service to students and faculty
- Work with the Executive Director on program and course updates
- Act as a core member of the Online Teaching and Learning Office
- Support a variety of program data needs to strengthen program operations and enrollment, including budgeting, retention, attrition, policies, and goal setting
- Ensure all faculty courses are reviewed for quality assurance
- Develop and manage a faculty teaching and learning program for online learning
- Review and report on all online course evaluations
- Maintain a list of all developed online courses and review with the registrar the correct format for publication
- Conduct outreach for course updates and project manage the process
- Demonstrate job knowledge, quality of work, professionalism and promotion of the Lasallian mission as measured by annual performance review
- Other duties as assigned
- Masters degree required
- Minimum of 3 years experience
- Experience with online programs and courses that include development, teaching and instructional design
- Project management experience, data collection and reporting
