Job Description
The Department of Special Education within Manhattanville University’s School of Education (SOE) seeks an outstanding candidate with training in applied behavior analysis (ABA) for a non-tenure track, clinical assistant/associate professor position. The Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor of Applied Behavior Analysis will have a portion of their workload reassigned to serve as the Program Coordinator for the Master of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
The Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor of Applied Behavior Analysis is a member of the School of Education faculty who is responsible for providing leadership and direction for the MPS in Applied Behavior Analysis online program, its faculty, and students. The position interacts with the SOE’s leadership to reinforce a student-centered culture of academic excellence. This role includes enrollment management responsibilities, accreditation oversight, and working in collaboration with adjunct faculty, students, and external stakeholders to achieve the mission and outcomes. The Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor of Applied Behavior Analysis plays a critical role in enhancing the student experience, certification success, and promoting the program's growth and development.
The successful candidate should have at least one year of higher education teaching experience and mentoring students and one year of professional practice experience in ABA. Furthermore, candidates will show the capacity to contribute to the mission and goals of the SOE and the professional community as well as exhibit the ability to be flexible and work in an environment of expansion and change.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Education:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Full-time, 35 hours per week

Supervisory Responsibilities

- Coordinate Manhattanville’s online ABA program
- Teach online graduate courses in MPS in ABA program
- Schedule courses and assign instructors
- Identify and vet new practicum sites
- Monitor quality assurance of current practicum sites
- Serve as faculty advisor/mentor to students, coordinate and evaluate academic advising of students
- Oversee the development, redesign, and refresh of the program’s online courses
- Develop and implement a plan that leads the program towards ABAI accreditation
- Contribute to departmental and school service, including committee participation.
- Online pedagogy and course design

- Knowledge of ABAI accreditation
Education:
- A Doctoral degree in Behavior Analysis, or a closely related field, from an accredited college or university. Equivalent terminal degrees in relevant disciplines will also be considered.
- Must possess Behavior Analyst Certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board® (BACB®). Nationally certified
- At least one year of teaching at an undergraduate and/or graduate level
- A minimum of one year of professional experience in ABA practice and ABA supervision
- A record of scholarly activity, applied research, or professional presentation in the field of ABA
