Job Description
Under the direction of the University's Controller, the Account is responsible for maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, assisting with close processes, conducting internal audits, performing payroll reconciliations, and maintaining accounts payable documentation.
Supervisory Responsibilities
None.
Duties/Responsibilities
Prepare general ledger reconciliations for various accounts
Monitor deposits, all student deposits, and maintain the monthly roll-forward schedule
Review transactions and ensure proper application of policies and procedures
Complete of month-end, year-end and audit schedules, and analyses
Assist in completing payroll reconciliations
Assist with the month-end closing process
Federal Funds Drawdown
Federal Fund Schedule
Recording of daily cash activity for operating and Federal accounts, monitor AP and PR daily
Reconciliation of operating account and several additional accounts
Recording of all bank activity of foreign accounts (including international wire transfers, reconciliation, etc.)
Month end clearing of all checks and e checks
Maintain the Cash CR/CD report and cash management report
Alt Loan Reconciliation
Complete the reconciliation of donations to the University
Monthly Perkins
Complete outgoing wire transfers
Submit ACH files and positive pay to the bank
PayPal schedules of -donations, student deposits and application deposits
PayPal refunds
Annual submission of yearly New York State unclaimed submission
Charge card disputes
Deposit transmittals of checks received
Refunds of cash net as requested
Monthly Van charges
Library yearly entry
Perform additional related duties as assigned

Qualifications
Demonstrates leadership, interpersonal, written, and oral communication, problem-
solving, organizational, and presentation skills
Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Knowledge of Colleague and related systems is preferred
Detail oriented, ability to work independently, and handle high levels of independence required for the position
Knowledge of accepted accounting principles
Effective communication and team skills
Education
Bachelor's degree required in Accounting or a related field from an accredited four-year institution of higher education
Experience
Minimum of two years of accounting experience including preparation of reconciliations, analyses, and journal entries
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Hours Expectation
Full-time, 35 hours per week
