What are the responsibilities and job description for the FT Emotional Support Paraeducator, Doe Run Elementary position at Manheim Central School District?
The Manheim Central School District has an opening for a FT Emotional Support Paraeducator to work with a special education classroom at Doe Run Elementary assisting with academic and behavioral needs and job skills as outlined in the individualized Education Plan (IEP). The para will also work closely with the special education team.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are preferred.
An associate degree, or at least 48 hours of post-secondary credits, is preferred. Otherwise, must present a PA Paraeducator Credential of Competency Certificate or be willing to complete free online program within three months of hire. Additionally, 20 hours of staff development is required each school year.
Hours: 7:15 a.m.-2:45 p.m. with a half-hour, unpaid break
