Computer Lab & In School Suspension Paraprofessional

Must have an associate's degree, passed the para-professional praxis exam or have a bachelor's degree Be positive with students and understand their needs Put students first and offer an encouraging environment Be able to take direction from the Director/coordinator Take constructive criticism to establish a better classroom environment Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order among the students for whom he or she is responsible. Observe and evaluate students' performance, behavior, social development, and physical health. Prepare materials and classrooms for class activities. Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests. Establish clear objectives for all lessons Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations. Meet with parents to discuss individual students' needs and progress. Attend training workshops in order to maintain and improve professional competence. Attend staff meetings and serve on committees as required.
