Job description
The Legal Administrative Assistant will provide essential support to our legal team by performing a variety of administrative tasks. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
· Prepare, review, and proofread legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, and contracts.
· Maintain and organize client files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
· Handle all incoming phone calls, visitors, emails, and other correspondence, directing them to the appropriate team members.
· Perform general office duties such as filing, light cleaning, and photocopying.
· Assist with billing and invoicing processes, including tracking expenses and processing payments.
· Monitor deadlines and juggle calendars to ensure timely completion of tasks and meetings.
· Gather relevant information as needed.
· Manage and update case management software and other relevant databases.
· Provide exceptional customer service to clients and handle inquiries professionally.
Skills
· Experience as a legal administrative assistant or in a similar role.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and legal research tools.
· Familiarity with legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Strong organizational and time-management abilities, including experience monitoring deadlines and juggling multiple calendars.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
· Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.
