What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lifeguard - Training Provided position at Manistee Area Public Schools?
If you are not already certified, training will take place sometime in May or even possibly June (pending on size of class)
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all pool patrons
- Monitor swimmers and enforce pool rules and regulations
- Respond quickly and effectively to any emergencies or incidents
- Perform water rescues and administer first aid when necessary
- Conduct regular pool inspections to identify any hazards or maintenance needs
- Maintain a clean and organized pool area
- Provide excellent customer service to all pool patrons
Qualifications:
- Must be a certified lifeguard with current CPR and First Aid certifications - Training provided
- Strong swimming skills and ability to perform water rescues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
- Previous experience as a lifeguard is preferred, but not required

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
