What are the responsibilities and job description for the Highway Maintenance Wkr position at MANITOWOC COUNTY?
Join our team and work 4 Day work weeks (M-Th 10hrs/day): May - October
Monday - Friday (8 hrs/day): November - April
Pay commensurate with experience.
Wage consideration will be given for candidates considered "Experienced Operators". To be considered an "Experienced Operator" for this position applicant must have 2 or more years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Track or Rubber Tire Backhoe operating experience (Digging at grade)
- Road Grader operating experience
- Dozer operating experience
- Track or Wheel Skid loader operating experience
Working for the Manitowoc County Highway Department, this position:
- Performs road maintenance and snow removal, and maintains right of way.
- Maintains highway right-of-ways; mows grass, cuts trees and brush, repairs washouts, sprays weeds, and picks up trash.
- Operates snow removal equipment.
- Performs maintenance duties i.e., erects snow fences, shovels bridges patches pot holes, fills cracks, repairs and replaces guard railings, posts, bridges, and markers
