What are the responsibilities and job description for the Jury Bailiff - Temporary On Call position at MANITOWOC COUNTY?
Manitowoc County has an immediate need for dedicated applicants to join the Clerk of Court team as a Jury Bailiff. These positions are responsible for managing juror refreshments on trial days, checking in jurors upon arrival, introduction/welcome and play juror orientation video, overseeing jurors, escorting them to and from the courtroom, to the jury room for deliberation, and conveying juror questions to the judge, should any arise.
Jury trial days can last anywhere from a few hours to a full day, and occasionally may even extend into the evening, so flexibility is required to work as long as needed on any given day. Jury bailiffs are required to report to the courthouse by 7:30 a.m. on scheduled trial
This position is on-call for jury trials only. The average amount of jury trials per year is about 14.
