Job Summary:
The 2nd Shift Molding and Deck Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operations of the molding and deck areas during the second shift, ensuring production goals are met while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the molding and deck team to meet production targets in alignment with company goals.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety among the team.
- Monitor production processes to ensure quality standards are met and maintained.
- Train, mentor, and develop team members to enhance skills and performance.
- Coordinate with maintenance and other departments to minimize downtime and ensure equipment is properly maintained.
- Implement and support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize productivity and reduce waste.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of production records and reports.
- Address any operational or personnel issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to employees to support their development.
- Ensure shift handovers are smooth and all necessary information is communicated clearly.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in manufacturing or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or foundry environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of molding processes, equipment, and foundry operations is highly desirable.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with production reporting systems.
Working Conditions:
- This is a full-time position, primarily working during the 2nd shift.
- The role may require standing, walking, and working in a foundry environment with exposure to high temperatures, noise, and dust.
