What are the responsibilities and job description for the Diagnostic Imaging Clinical Assistant position at Mankato Clinic?
Full-time, 80 hours/pay period
Monday-Friday with shifts between 7:15am - 5:00 pm
The DI Clinical Assistant works closely with the DI Patient Support Coordinators, Technologists, Sonographers, DI Managers, Director, and Radiologists to care for our patients, assisting with imaging workflows in order to provide quality patient care.
Key Job Duties:
- Perform clerical tasks and assist with patient scheduling
- Educate patients on imaging procedures and necessary preps, addressing any questions to ensure patient understanding and comfort
- Assist technologists and sonographers with patient exam needs
- Maintain patient care, comfort, and safety during transport to and from the exam area
- Collaborate with team to develop, update, and implement imaging procedures
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Clerical skills including ability to utilize office computers/programs
- Attention to detail, great team work skills, and excellent communication skills required
- Must possess valid driver’s license
Preferred:
- Any college degree
- 2 years working as a Clinical Assistant, EMT, Nursing Assistant or in direct patient care
- General knowledge of medical practice
- Dedication to patient satisfaction
- Ability to work effectively with all providers, staff and patients.
BLS (CPR) certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
Employment is contingent on successful completion of drug screen, health assessment, and background check.
Benefits & Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $16.90-$23.50, initial pay based on relevant work experience.
