The Country Inn Suites in Mankato, MN is seeking a friendly qualified candidate to be our Part-Time Prep Cook opening. This includes our banquet departments.
JOB SUMMARY : The Prep Cook’s primary responsibility is to uphold the restaurant’s high standards of excellence by providing the highest quality of service to guests. The Prep Cook is responsible for assisting in the preparation of meals by preparing cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meats, etc. The Prep Cook is also responsible for preparing simple dishes such as salads and entrees. This position does not have set hours, must have kitchen experience.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE :
- Must have the ability to provide professional and courteous guest service.
- Must have good time management skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must have good organizational skills, the ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have the ability to understand and follow verbal / written instructions and communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Must have the ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude during all interactions.
- Must have a working knowledge of computers and basic math skills.
- Previous kitchen preparation experience preferred, but not required.
- ServSafe Certified Preferred.
