EASE (Embracing Aging Through Social Engagement) is an in-house program for people with disabilities who are typically 55 seeking meaningful experiences to fill their day. This position will allow you to give back to the community while having flexibility, training, and advancement opportunities!
Starting pay is $16.11 per hour and varies depending on previous experience.
Hours: As needed, up to 20 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm.

The EASE Specialist is responsible for the development and implementation of center-based, person-centered day service plans for individuals with disabilities and/or disadvantages. As a strong communicator, the EASE Specialist will also ensure regular communication with clients, client teams, funders, employers, co-workers and community members as well as closely tracking all day services activity.
In this position, you will:
- Develop, plan and coordinate individualized, community-based leisure activities for program participants to promote greater community independence, skills and social interaction.
- Provide daily direct support/direct care to clients with disabilities and/or disadvantages. Duties may include medication administration, use of adaptive equipment, personal care support, and driving.
- Complete paperwork and implement protocols.
- Transport clients.
- Monitor assigned day support service programming to analyze efficiency and effectiveness and implement changes to maximize effectiveness of the program.
- Recruit, retain and recognize a range of volunteers.
- Utilize technology and processes to ensure timely communication and make cold calls.
- Work independently, and do so while collaborating with a team and meeting personal goals.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- High School diploma/equivalent plus two years of related work experience, preferably working with persons with developmental disabilities or related conditions.
- Be sensitive to the needs of individuals with disabilities.
- Must have a valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
- Must clear a background study through the Department of Human Services.
