Responsibilities of the Position:
- Perform clerical and physical tasks in connection with warehousing, small package, import/export, receiving and shipping duties.
- Responsible for ensuring inventory is accurate.
- Maintain order integrity while verifying products being pulled for shipping team are accurate, are labeled appropriately, and have all required documentation.
- Responsible for keeping all areas of Logistics clean and organized.
- Transfer materials to and from Production via forklift.
- Meet targeted goals by verifying equipment efficiency, following work instructions, ensuring safety measures are efficient, and training current and new employees about the correct processes.
- Accurately and efficiently process orders.
- Work in a paint production environment with consistent speed and accuracy.
- Clean and organize work area on an ongoing basis to ensure facility remains pristine.
- Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude.
- Additional tasks as assigned.
- Able to work overtime as needed.
Requirements for the Position
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Prior experience working with hazardous materials is preferred, but not required.
- SAP experience preferred.
- Be capable of safely handling hazardous waste and minimize hazards by being able to wear all required safety equipment and protective clothing as required by law and/or company policy. This includes, but is not limited to: safety shoes, safety glasses, uniforms, respirators and gloves.
- Be able to read and understand written instructions such as safety data sheets and other pertinent information necessary to perform assigned job functions.
- Strong organizational skills
- Self-motivated personality to manage daily tasks & responsibilities without constant supervision.
- Capable of reading and understanding production documents and safety manuals.
- Physically capable of manual labor that includes consistent lifting, bending, and reaching.
- Able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Able to stand for 8-hour shifts.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines and standard accepted practices.
Shift Requirement
Must be able to work first shift, overtime and weekends as required.
