MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Job Description Role Summary The Manufacturing Maintenance Technician / ensures machines and equipment are in good working order to reduce down time and meet customer needs. Main Tasks Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions Ensures all machine guards, interlocks and other safety devices are properly installed and maintained in good working order; follows established lockout procedures when working on equipment Adjusts or replaces machine parts as necessary to facilitate the repair and/or changeover of equipment to manufacture products Identifies sources of problems by observing mechanical devices/ listens for problems Reports all accidents, incidents, near misses, and potential hazards to supervision immediately Keeps working area in a clean and orderly condition according 5S principles Handles working standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment to include machinery and support equipment Tests electrical currents or components for continuity, using electrical test equipment Inspects and tests systems to verify system compliance with plans and specifications or to detect and locate malfunctions Safely operates standard maintenance tools such as power tools, hand tools and basic electrical testing equipment Trouble shoots mechanical and electrical faults: gearing, tool types, thread types, electrical motor and wiring schematics Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listens for problems Complies with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area; practices safe work habits and escalates known safety concerns Conducts machine installs and repairs, maintenance and facilities repair Other duties as assigned Your Profile We offer Are you full of ideas?
