This is an Onsite/Hybrid position based at our location in Raleigh, NC, or Portage, MI.
The job incumbent develops, implements, and executes the sales strategies for an assigned group of customers or market. He/She is responsible for the achievement of the planned sales goals with the assigned customers and/or market(s). He/She is the "one face to select customers" and escalation point for team member customers.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement the sales strategies and identify new business opportunities for the defined customers or market(s)
- Lead, direct, develop, and coordinate a sales team and ensure that the team members follow the developed strategies
- Steer the strategic and operational planning processes as well as the target agreements with the respective local sales force
- Review and monitor the existing customer contacts on a regular basis
- Develop and implement the pricing strategies for the defined customers and/or market(s)
- Maintain positive and strategic business relationships with the assigned customers and/or market(s)
- Review and monitor the sales performance periodically to ensure that the long-term goals are met
- Conduct the contract negotiations with customers in cooperation with the Director of Industrial
- Monitor accounts receivables for the assigned customers and solve issues/define countermeasures in case of deviations
- Plan, implement and control the cost budget in the area of responsibility
- Initiate and steer corrective actions in case of deviations
- Monitor the market and industry trends, define the market prices, and initiate target costing in the projects to ensure MANN HUMMEL competitiveness
- Observe and analyze the competitor's situation and market trends
- Act as a main point of contact for the local colleagues within a region, coordinate the project activities, build up/support the teams within a region, and support networking
- Forecast the customer/market trends for forward planning
- Guide, motivate and develop the directly and indirectly subordinate employees within the HR policy
- Ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, and directed
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or equivalent experience
Experience:
- 5 years' minimum relevant experience in one or more Industrial Manufacturing industries
- 2 years' minimum team leadership experience
Required Skills:
- Customer orientation, organization and coordination skills
- Self-initiative and the ability to work well under pressure
- Excellent verbal, written, and English presentation and communication skills
- Relevant IT tools (MS Office, etc.)
- OE Sales Management experience
- Financially driven
- General contract negotiation experience
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with compressors, machine tooling, and/or heavy-duty equipment manufacturing is strongly preferred
